A FREE EVENT for kiteboarders of all abilities. Each week features a new topic for our group lecture as well as a question and answer session for those in the audience. Many industry team riders and designers participate as guest speakers during REAL Night School. The Night Before Take Off
March 27 ( 7 p.m.), March 28 ( 7 p.m.) March 29 ( 2 p.m.) Film Theatre. This droll little satire, loosely based on Dickens' "Christmas Carol," was written by Tom Filkins with creative assistance from Harry Herzer and Gary Ramage in 2003 for the Wright Centennial Celebrations. Filkins revised the original script and with Producer Monty Montcalm, directed numerous performances the summer of 2008 at The Sea Ranch Hotel in Kill Devil Hills. With a cast of eight talented local actors, The Night Before Take-Off will amuse young and old alike during the Land of Beginnings Festival as it weaves fact and myth together into an hour of Alternative History. All performances will be at the Film Theatere of Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo. Tickets $7.50 at the door or in advance at Manteo Booksellers.
