to our Outer Banks Surfing guide. As East Coast
surfing goes the Outer Banks is one of most
popular spots due mostly to the size and shape
of the waves. The best Outer Banks surfing takes
place from late August through November in hurricane
season, when swells from storms are likely to
roll toward shore. Mid-summer is traditionally
the best time for beginners and casual surfering
at the Outer Banks. The smaller summer waves
can be more fun for surfing on a longboard. |
